On 8 November 2021 the Ministry of Finance reopened an issue of 5-year BGN-denominated government securities (GS) maturing on 24 February 2026.

GS of an aggregate nominal value of BGN 500 million were offered successfully at the auction at a weighted average yield of 0,27%.

The total subscribed amount reached BGN 634.46 million, which corresponds to a bid-to-cover ratio of 1.27. The spread reported as against the analogous German Bunds is 87 basis points. The biggest amount of GS was acquired by banks – 81.8%, followed by pension funds with 10.3%, guarantee and contractual funds with 4.2%, insurance companies with 1.7%, investment intermediaries with 1.0% and other investors with 1.0%.
