1867 – 1878 – clerk with the trade companies of the Ottoman Bank in Plovdiv.

1878- participated in the Interim Russian Government.

1879 - prepared the First Statute of the Bulgarian National Bank.

1879 – 1882 - first Governor of the Bulgarian National Bank and Minister of Finance in General Ernrot's cabinet and in the Government without Prime Minister under the Regime of Credentials (1 July 1881 – 23 June 1882).
