On 10 October 2022, the Ministry of Finance reopened an issue of BGN-denominated government securities (GS) with an original maturity of 10.5 years maturing on 27.07.2026.

The auction resulted in placement of Government Securities with an aggregate nominal value of BGN 200 million, at an annual weighted average yield of 4.47%. The subscribed amount totalled BGN 230.35 million, which corresponds to a bid-to-cover ratio of 1.15. The recorded spread to the analogous German Bunds is 263 basis points. Banks acquired the biggest amount of GS at the auction – 80,0%, followed by insurance companies with 14.5%, pension funds with 4.5% and guarantee funds with 1.0%.
