The Ministry of Finance has reopened a 7.5-year GS issue at a weighted average yield of 1.33%

On 21 March 2022, the Ministry of Finance reopened an issue of 7.5-year BGN-denominated Government Securities (GS) maturing on 24.05.2029.
The auction resulted in successful placement of Government Securities with an aggregate nominal value of BGN 500 million, at an annual weighted average yield of 1.33%.
The subscribed amount totalled BGN 599.1 million, which corresponds to a bid-to-cover ratio of 1.20. The recorded spread to the analogous German Bunds is 114 basis points. Banks acquired the biggest amount of GS at the auction – 84.1 %, followed by insurance companies – 8.4 %, pension funds – 3.8 %, guarantee funds – 1.4 %, investment intermediaries – 0.3 %, and other investors – 2.0%.
