The 2013 budget is the budget adopted most quickly as well as the richest one, Minister of Finance Simeon Djankov stated for Nova TV, adding that the opposition has been extremely weak during its discussion.

Djankov informed that within 2-3 days it would be clear whether there would be any Christmas allowances for the pensioners and specified that it was most probable for the pensioners to receive those by the end of December. Around 60% of the pensioners receive their money via the post office and the other 40% - via the banks, the Minister clarified.

The Finance Minister commented that he would focus next year greater resource in the education system in order to have enough money to raise the single standard after the already implemented reforms. Regarding the motherhood benefits and the lack of money for their increase the Minister stated that it would be better to provide money for construction of kindergartens. "Social policy is among our priorities and there we will give more money". Money is never sufficient in sectors that are not reformed, the Finance Minister added.
