"It is extremely delightful that the number of closing conferences under OPAC projects is increasing. This shows that our daily efforts are rewarding and that what we have done is worth it", the Administrative Capacity Operational Programme Managing Authority Head said after taking part in the closing conferences of two of the Council of Ministers key projects in less than a month. The Development of the System of Planning and Mobility in the Public Administration Project has been implemented with a grant under OPAC co-financed by the European Union through the European Social Fund. It is focused on improving the human resource management policy in the public administration. As a result of the successful execution of the project, a portal for mobility of civil servants has been set up, techniques for determination of the key positions and instruments for evaluation of the competences have been developed and 328 employees of the central and territorial administration have been trained.

The other key project "Building Capacity for the Future - Conducting Internships in Public Administration" is in line with one of the current key priorities of the European Union, namely - to drive down youth unemployment. The attractive internship programme has allowed to 583 students to familiarise closely with the work of public administration and to gain experience in real working environment. Thanks to that an overall algorithm has been created for conducting student internships in the public administration which will ensure sustainable applicability after the completion of the project.

"Such projects are a noteworthy example of good practices under OPAC and they deserve to be praised. The results thereof are fully consistent with the policies implemented in the field of administrative reform. The current year in addition to being a challenge for us, is also a year of drawing up balance-sheets and the balance-sheet in the case of OPAC shows that the time has come when the outcome of OPAC projects will produce their results", Mrs Beecher added.
