Minister of Finance Vladislav Goranov will take part in the meeting of the Economic and Financial Affairs Council (ECOFIN) to be held in Brussels, Belgium, on 12 May 2015.

The participants in the meeting will discuss the state of play of the work on the proposal for a Regulation on the Establishment of a European Fund for Strategic Investments.

The agenda covers the implementation of the structural reforms in the context of the European Semester, in view to improving the implementation of the country-specific recommendations. The ECOFIN Council is expected to adopt draft conclusions on the technical assessment of the progress achieved in the implementation of the Council's recommendations from 8 July 2014 and the results of the in-depth reviews for 2015 under the macroeconomic imbalances procedure. The Council is also expected to adopt conclusions on public finance sustainability in terms of population ageing.

Within the forum the ECOFIN Council will be briefed on the discussions held and the decisions made at the G-20 meeting of Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors on 16 - 17 April 2015 in Washington.
