Minister of Finance Petar Chobanov will take part in the Economic and Financial Affairs Council meeting to be held on 15 November 2013 in Brussels.

The agenda includes a discussion of a Proposal for a Regulation of the European Parliament and of the Council establishing uniform rules and a uniform procedure for the resolution of credit institutions and certain investment firms in the framework of a Single Resolution Mechanism and a Single Bank Resolution Fund.

Draft Council Conclusions on EU Statistics and a Proposal for a Council Directive amending Directive 2006/112/EC on the common system of value added tax as regards a standard VAT return will also be presented at the meeting. Political agreement is expected on a Proposal for a Council Directive amending Directive 2003/48/EC on taxation of savings income in the form of interest payments.

The Commission will present to the Council the Report from Special Advisor Philippe Maystadt on the EU\'s contribution to international accounting standards.
