Minister of Finance Vladislav Goranov will take part in the meeting of the Economic and Financial Affairs Council (ECOFIN) to be held in Luxembourg on 19 June 2015. The agenda envisages the EU Finance Ministers to discuss the state of play in connection with the proposal to amend the Directive as regards mandatory automatic exchange of information in the field of taxation regarding advance cross-border tax rulings. A political agreement is expected to be reached on the Directive on interest and royalty payments. The Presidency is expected to inform ECOFIN about the forthcoming actions until the final adoption of the Regulation on the European Fund for Strategic Investments in connection with the Investment Plan for Europe.

During the meeting the Council is to agree on a common approach on the reform of the banking system, to discuss the state of play of the implementation of the banking union and to adopt Council's conclusions on the capital markets union.

The Finance Ministers are expected to approve the integrated economic policy guidelines and to adopt Council's recommendations in the context of the excessive deficit procedure in connection with the implementation of the Stability and Growth Pact. ECOFIN is to approve Council's recommendations on 2015 National Reform Programmes to all Member States, the opinions on the Convergence/ Stability Programmes of the Member States and the draft recommendation of the Council on the implementation of the broad economic policy guidelines of the Member States of the Euro area. The participants in the meeting will be informed about the report on the next steps for improving economic governance in the Euro area.
