Bulgaria and the Netherlands Exchange Experience on Recovery and Resilience Plan

Two-day meetings between experts from the coordination units responsible for the implementation of the Recovery and Resilience Facility (RRF) of the Republic of Bulgaria and the Kingdom of the Netherlands were held at the Ministry of Finance.
The purpose of the visit was to exchange experience and discuss the progress made in the implementation of reforms and investments included in the Recovery and Resilience Plans of the two EU Member States. The visit was funded under the TAIEX Programme and was agreed in advance with the European Commission.
Participants in the workshops presented the progress made in the implementation of the RRPs of both countries. They discussed topics such as the budget, the management and control systems, the status of payments made, the monitoring information systems, the amendment of the RRPs, the audit activity, the promotion of information and publicity measures, etc. They also shared their visions of the positive and negative aspects of the RRF, the problems and the challenges, as well as the need to take additional measures for the successful implementation of the Recovery and Resilience Plan.
During the wrap-up session the representatives of the National Fund Directorate from the Ministry of Finance and their counterparts from the Netherlands expressed their satisfaction with the meetings and their confidence that their cooperation will continue.
