At the end of Q2 2014 the General Government consolidated debt stands at BGN 16.5 billion as per the published on 23 October 2014 Eurostat data. As of 31.12.2013 the General Government debt is BGN 14.7 billion.

In line with the methodological changes of the statistical reporting as a result of the entering into force from 1.10.2014 of the European System of Accounts (ESA 2010) the data for the General Government consolidated debt in the period Q1 2013-Q1 2014 have been updated taking into account new data provided and including new units in the General Government.

The revised debt data for the sector have been provided to Eurostat in the process of preparing the final data for the 2013 deficit and debt in October 2014 for the purpose of the Notification Tables in accordance with Article 3, item 1 of Regulation (EC) 479/2009 of the Council.

Because of revisions made the Ministry of Finance has also published updated data for the General Government guarantees which at the end of 2013 stand at BGN 599.1 million.
