We accept the conclusions of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) which support the Government\'s efforts to carry out reforms. This is what Minister of Finance Petar Chobanov said at the wrap-up meeting with the regular Article IV IMF mission team to Bulgaria headed by Ms. Michele Shannon. Minister Chobanov also thanked for the constructive dialogue during the technical meetings with the IMF representatives.

The key topics of discussions with the IMF experts were the underlying principles and policies laid down in the draft 2014 State Budget, and the short-term and medium-term economic forecasts. The IMF delegation had meetings with Minister of Finance Petar Chobanov, Deputy Ministers of Finance Lyudmila Elkova and Lyudmila Petkova, Ministry of Finance experts and other representatives of the Government and of the Bulgarian National Bank.
