Minister of Finance Petar Chobanov will participate in an informal meeting of the Economic and Financial Affairs Council (ECOFIN) to be held in Vilnius, Lithuania on 13 and 14 September.

The EU Financial Ministers will discuss the economic outlook and financial stability of the EU and improving access to finance for SMEs. The agenda of the meeting includes the topic on future reform of the financial system - from the Banking Union architecture to efficient structure of financial markets.

The meeting is expected to approve the EU common position for the G20 Ministerial Meeting to be held in Washington on 10 and 11 October and for the IMF/WB Annual Meetings on 11 and 12 October 2013.
