MOODY\'S INVESTORS SERVICE HAS CHANGED THE OUTLOOK ON BULGARIA’S RATINGS TO POSITIVE FROM STABLE
21.01.2010
Today, 21.01.2010, Moody\'s Investors Service changed the outlook on the Bulgarian government\'s Baa3 ratings to positive from stable. The rating action restores the positive outlook that was in place prior to the financial crisis in September 2008. This is also the first positive rating action on an EU sovereign since July 2008, states the press release of the rating agency.
„This is the consecutive acknowledgment by international investors and analysts that Bulgaria has the most stable fiscal policy in the European Union. We are facing a number of difficult months but we have already demonstrated that we can cope with the hard situation and take the country out of the crisis\", said Simeon Djankov, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance.
