DEPUTY MINISTER VLADISLAV GORANOV: IMPROVEMENT OF REVENUE COLLECTION HAS ALWAYS BEEN ON THE AGENDA
02.12.2011
Reducing grey economy and improving revenue collection has always been on the agenda, and since the beginning of its term the government has done much to enhance the powers of the revenue administrations. Deputy Minister of Finance Vladislav Goranov pointed out the above in \"Zdravey Bulgaria\" on NOVA TV. In the morning programme of the media he commented the proposals for pension system reform, stressing that the government had always offered a gradual increase of the retirement age. This will happen as from 1 January 2012, by four months per year during the next three years for men and women employed under all work categories. The amendments to the Budget of the State Social Security Law are to be voted by Parliament at second reading.
The gradual increase of the retirement age is the more reasonable option in terms of predictability for people, said the Deputy Finance Minister. According to him, the decision this to become a reality has been taken in a completely transparent manner and has been subjected to discussion, and the speculations on the various options are indicative.
As from 1 June next year the minimum contributory-service and retirement-age pension will increase to BGN 145, reminded the Deputy Finance Minister.
As regards social security and health insurance contributions of civil servants, including those employed in the \"power\" institutions, Vladislav Goranov was adamant that they would be compensated and would not lose any part of their disposable income.
