VLADISLAV GORANOV: THE BUDGET IS AN INSTRUMENT THAT PROTECTS BULGARIA AGAINST TURBULENT MARKETS
11.11.2011
The proposed 2012 draft budget is an instrument that protects Bulgaria against turbulent markets and safeguards it against forced and unreasonable expenditure cuts, as is usually done in an uncontrollable crisis. Deputy Minister of Finance Vladislav Goranov commented the above in an interview with the Capital Daily newspaper. According to him the government has managed, with much more limited resources than in the pre-crisis years, not only to maintain the working regime of the country, but also to continue working on infrastructure projects delayed for decades.
Deputy Minister Goranov commented that the proposed draft budget for the next year provides a possibility to increase the income of the most vulnerable social groups. Pensions\' increase requires a big resource and the latter can be made available either through an increase of the deficit or through a review of the overall pension model, he underlined.
The reform in the healthcare sector should develop towards a lower number of medical institutions, a very well organized emergency and better access to high quality medical services, Vladislav Goranov also said to the newspaper.
