On 14 March 2022 the Ministry of Finance reopened an issue of 3.5-year BGN-denominated government securities (GS) maturing on 17 May 2025.

GS of an aggregate nominal value of BGN 500 million were offered successfully at the auction at a weighted average yield of 0,55%.

The total subscribed amount reached BGN 964.7 million, which corresponds to a bid-to-cover ratio of 1.93. The spread reported as against the analogous German Bunds is 81 basis points. The biggest amount of GS was acquired by banks – 63.4%, followed by pension funds – 20.2%, insurance companies – 6.4%, guarantee funds – 5.0% and other investors – 5.0%.
