SIMEON DJANKOV: THE STATE IS IN A STABLE FINANCIAL STATUS
28.03.2012
Public and media discussions of the Silver Fund topic have helped a lot, says Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Simeon Djankov in an interview for 24 Hours Daily. \"I wished that we reach the average EU level of investment of 70%. We have found out that this is not yet acceptable by the public. Well, we will be reaching it gradually, starting with 30%, adding 10% every year until reaching 70%\", the Finance Minister comments and adds that this idea has been supported by the National Council for Tripartite Cooperation. Simeon Djankov says explicitly that there is nothing worrying in the state\'s financial status.
In his view, the situation on the markets has already improved and time has come for us to go to the external debt market. The Deputy Prime Minister, who is responsible for 11 ministries, shares the view that public administration should attract both young and experienced people.
