Minister of Finance Vladislav Goranov appointed Georgi Nachev a Director of the Public Financial Inspection Agency, with effect from 7 November 2016, following the application by the current Director of the Agency Ventsislav Georgiev for termination of his employment. Ventsislav Georgiev will continue working at PFIA at a management position and thus the team of the Agency will keep a highly qualified and experienced expert in the field of financial control.

Georgi Mitkov Nachev has a 13-year professional experience in the field of the economic and financial security of the country. In 2001 he obtained Bachelor's degree in Economic and Financial Control, and in 2002 - Master's degree in Public Finance, at the Academy of Economics "Dimitar Apostolov Tsenov", Svishtov. In 2008 he obtained Master's degree in Law at the South-West University "Neofit Rilski", Blagoevgrad.

In 2003 Georgi Nachev joined the Economic Police at the Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Interior-Pleven, and in 2006 he started working at the Security National Service, Pleven. Since 2008, he has worked at the State Agency for National Security, his career developing from expert through head of sector to director of a specialized directorate.
