Nickolay Iliev Popov is the new Deputy Director of the National Customs Agency responsible for Customs Intelligence and Investigations.

Nickolay Popov has been an employee of the Ministry of Interior for many years and has headed the Sofia unit for fighting organized crime. He has some experience in fighting and preventing crimes related to trafficking of people, smuggling of excise duty goods and narcotic substances, etc. He has a good command of English, Italian and Russian and uses Spanish, Polish and Serbo-Croatian. Mr. Popov is married and has two children.
