Minister of Finance Petar Chobanov will take part in the meeting of the Economic and Financial Affairs (ECOFIN) Council to be held on 28 January 2014 in Brussels. The Greek Presidency Work Programme in the area of economic and financial policies will be presented at the meeting. The EU Ministers of Finance will also discuss the implementation of the Compact for Growth and Jobs in connection with the Follow-up to the European Council meeting on 19-20 December 2013.

Draft Council Decision on the existence of an excessive deficit in Croatia and Draft Council Recommendation with a view to bringing an end to the situation of an excessive government deficit in Croatia are to be adopted within the framework of implementing the Stability and Growth Pact.
