The Managing Authority of Operational Programme Administrative Capacity has launched a series of information days for two procedures targeted at municipal administrations.

The first procedure was announced on 22 January and refers to budget line BG051PO002/13/1.1-07 of sub-priority 1.1 "Effective Structure of the Public Administration". Municipal administrations may apply for a total of BGN 1 million thereunder by 29 March 2013 with projects aimed at optimizing the structure of regional administrations with a view to achieving greater efficiency and avoiding overlapping of functions. The first of the information days under this procedure was held on 28 January in Sofia. Due to the great interest shown from candidates and in view of a greater transparency, the Managing Authority of OPAC will have an explanatory campaign in other cities country-wide.

The terms and conditions for application under the second procedure for municipalities launched today, 6 February 2013, will be presented during the information days. This procedure is under budget line BG051PO002/13/1.3-07 of sub-priority 1.3 "Effective coordination and partnership in policy-making and implementation of policies". The budget for these projects totals BGN 2.5 million. The deadline for submitting calls for proposals is 10 April 2013. The procedure aims to introduce effective mechanisms for monitoring and control of the implementation of municipal policies.
